Back to school!

8/8/2013

Hello and welcome (back) everyone!

It's never easy returning to school (or work) after such a long holiday. You might be surprised to learn that teachers go through many of the same feelings as students do at this time of year. A whole summer has passed when we were able to live for ourselves, not worry about what time we went to bed and not have to be any particular place at any particular time. Our return to school brings all of this to an abrupt end. In spite of this, it's important to look at the positive side too. For me it's good to catch up with old friends, and make new ones. There are also many new students from wonderfully diverse backgrounds which further enriches ISPP's truly international environment. I'm really looking forward to getting to know these students more and helping them to develop as learners. I enjoy learning every day, as I'm sure you do too. Any opportunity to get learning again can surely only be viewed as a positive, can't it?

So over to you....Whether you're an ISPP veteran or a nervous newbie, share your feelings about being at school this week....Could you imagine life as one long holiday? How would your life be different? Do we need school to give us goals in life?
